Formula 1 announced this week a multi-platform, cross-promotional partnership with Disney aimed at “bringing joy to fans of all ages” starting in the 2026 season. While the move has already sparked excitement among younger viewers and corporate sponsors, one group remains entirely unaffected: Ferrari fans.

“We’re really proud to partner with the happiest company on Earth. This collaboration will make F1 more magical, more family-friendly, and maybe even emotionally fulfilling, though maybe not for anyone wearing red.” said F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali.

Sports psychologists suggest that after more than a decade of watching their favorite team deliver endless heartbreaks, the Tifosi may have developed an immunity to joy. As Dr. Gianni Pirellini, a Milan-based researcher, explains, “This is a fanbase that’s seen titles slip away due to engine failure, tire strategy, or weather patterns. You don’t just fix that with a Mickey Mouse bobblehead.”

Lewis Hamilton, when asked about the collaboration, sighed and said, “I guess I’m happy for the kids,” before adding, “it’s still just another year of pretending that next year will be the year.”
